*Potential New After-School Program at Shaughnessy

The Shaughnessy PAC is excited to share that we’re exploring the possibility of bringing a Saplings Outdoor After-School Program to our school community! Saplings offers nature-based, play-focused care designed to support children’s curiosity, confidence, and connection with the outdoors. Their programs emphasize outdoor play, creativity, and social connection in all seasons.

The program would run Monday to Friday from 3:00–5:00 p.m., beginning in January 2026. To help determine interest and feasibility, we’re inviting families to share their intent to register.

Lights Up After Schools is coming to Shaughnessy! The popular afterschool and weekend programs, offered across Vancouver and the North Shore provide singing, dancing, and acting classes for children and teens, regardless of experience or skill level, with a focus on skill development through fun!

The program is open to SHY students in grades K-7 (students split by age) and will run Jan 6 – Mar 3, 2026 on Tuesdays | 3:00pm – 5:15pm. Please refer to the website below for registration.
